Please check out my new track 'You Remind Me' and post your comments here!!!
This is a track I've been working on for a few days. It's not completely finished and there are still a few "rough edges" but I'm quite pleased with it. It's definitely an improvement on my other tracks.
I'm very interested to know what you guys think!
As usual, I used FL Studio 7.
This track has been deleted on the producer's request

Instant roller... good start.
When the vocal jumps in, there is a sort of banging sound going on, it's a bit to dominant imo.
The guitarish instrument is not my taste, but it is not bad. Female vocal is too silent. Better lower the high freqs on the guitar and turn the lady up a bit. The short buildup after the second break is too sudden and too loud (around 5.20 that is). Lower the overall drum volume, maybe make the buildup a bit longer.
I must agree with you on track quality, this is the best you made so far! This could be played on an alternative radio station right away. Reminds me of The Chemical Brothers in a way.

Hey, thanks for the review Battle! You're always helpful mate.
That "banging" sound is - I think - a beat sample I put over the main beats. I was trying to fatten-up the sound, so I put a 2-bar beat sample over the top, but quietly so it didn't conflict with the main beat. Perhaps I haven't got it right yet.
(Unless, of course by 'banging' you meant it in the sense of ... 'this beat is banging!!')
There's a couple of female vocals there - which one was too quiet? All of them?
Thanks again Battle.

It's two days after I uploaded the track - 4 votes and 1 review and I'm down to 32.7%, my lowest ever. Is the track really that bad???

Ik know the feeling, you put in a lot of work and then they vote it down all the way.

well i like it, its got a nice feel to it and it definately makes my head bop. agree with the other post tho - are those kettle drums or somink - at the start of a loop on 1/8 and 2/8 are a bit too loud and needs turning down. yeh i wanna listen to what that woman is singing - sounds good from what i can hear of it.
this would definately go down nice in japan - they like that jazzy chilled feel out ere.
yeh the production quality is good - just turn down the bangin and turn up the woman!
love the break in the middle, makes me wanna break out my drums n hav a sesh,
anyways itll be a good after tune this one - that n the production, i would give it a nice 4/5

Thanks guys, don't feel so depressed now!
Glad you like it Shinyuri. Yeah, the track is quite chilled. It's not my usual style but I found it really refreshing to make. It's good to mix things up. Anyway, thanks for your comments - really helpful.

Oi !
The track aint that bad dude
when i've heard the intro i was surprised , to be honest i thought it would be better in general but not 32.7%
for sure
EQ it and it would be a great track , just listen to the whole pack when u put it , for example @ 3:40 or so it all comes on top of each other if u know what i mean , do something lowder , something more mute , i hope u've got the point
BIG UP man do ur stuff , dont count those votes , they are totaly unfair
peace

Thanks for your comments Rodi and Seven!
Phew!! I thought nobody liked the track. Yeah, the voting system can be a little misleading in terms of judging whether people actually like your track or not. Perhaps I should raise this point in the forum...
Cheers guys.
