well there's used midi keyboards at yuor local pawn shop that will be be used. buttons amy stick, no warrenty, but cheap.

then stuff like keyboards for about 65 bucks CND for just nothing else.

www.ebay.com for used

www.m-audio.com for new

I bought my m-audio oxygen 8 because it was cheap and to be honest its crap as well, you'd be better off saving up a bit more and getting a decent, medium priced one instead.

Maybe they've improved now though, mine is the old version...

i suggest the smei-waighted keys and a bit of midi control. for what you'll use it for, maybe a few faders. firewire if possible. usb has both latency and preformance issues, that firewire is better at.

I got some M-audio 50 euros crap and after 2 weeks it started failing... so I'd say don't go below 150 :p

Basically everything under €100 is utterly crap.
Make sure you get one with enough atleast 4 knobs 'n 4 sliders.
A keyboard with 3 octaves is also more fun to work with.

I would avoid the brand Behringer and the lowend of M-audio and Edirol and any crap names like Miditech etc...
