Please check out my new track 'Lucky Punk (Gun Culture)' and post your comments here!!!
the latest collaboration between me n culture boy.
i'm sticking with this style for a while now i think.
had real good fun making this, ya know, when it just comes natural instead of forced.
erm...used about 40 samples, 70 patterns.
made in fruity 5. used mainly synapse junglist
for the basses. one of em i used the magical8bit plug in that makes like nintendo sounds n stuff. makes a fat little bass too.
also used synapse hydra for one.
used fx like reverb, distortion, filters, chorus etc
big up culture boy for the original idea of this track.
i've been on this for the last few days and even tho the tunes pages is quite full of new stuff, i just gotta post this n get some feedback.
sounds of Gun Culture
enjoy.

damn, I have to get junglist too...damn heavy bass...Nice track. Although the break could be a bit heavier and the snare is a bit in the back. I pretty much dig the intro. Nice sounds. Good track. Gets a bit samey in the end...
cheers

Very cool intro, it really gives off that dark feeling. That bassline and break are sweet! It really gives it a gritty feeling. This track just flows. Not a thing bad about it!

Yeah, nice track Seven. Loved the beats, the computer-like sounds and particularly the basslines. Well produced. No complaints really.

Not bad not bad... very entertaining. I like how you managed to get so many elements together and make it sound as 1 track
Some plinging sample is panned completely to the right, it should be more centered, sounds bad on headphone.
The bassdrum is a bit too loud in the buildups.
After the drop there are to few new elements to keep the initial tension going. In the drop you add a synth which really could add a new dimension to the track, but you throw it out again at the restart.

I actually like the thing bout the track that the bass is always different , its not the same to all of ur other tracks , u keep the bass minimal there but here u let it loose and it sounds great !
I know i've already posted a comment but i couldn't stop myself of posting this comment ...

fukin awesome, would definately b gurning all over the dance floor with this one. the only gripe i would have is that i would like that string hit thing u got to be a bit more sinister. yeh maybe a bit more in the centre too.
like the way the bass comes in wiv the half sec of silence after the roll.

Really like this intro. the drop has a very generation dub feel about it, not as good as the intro but still sound. the bass sounds are fairy proffessional sounding. the drums are well mapped to the bass melodies. the strings fit in well and the build up is great. the sample is well arranged in the track where it drops in. there is a good progression in the track with evolving bass sounds. i would like to of heard more of the melody that comes in and builds up before the drop. the drums sit well in the mix, with good fills. i dont like the sustained horn sound that you have used on a few of the fills but that is just my opinion as it does fit.

a bit short intro
drops: kick is a little thin, good drumming tho, nice idea witht the halfstep breaking up the main sequence.
still imo some more drum variation is needed; as you drop and bring back the congos
altogether a nicely crafted tune, nothing to go wow about but a decent rolling wobbler

wow intro is wicked
basses are cool , beats could be heavier , it seems a bit too distorted.
i'd try not to repeat the "make my day" so often .
that gabba synth is deffo wicked
i really like that choon seven gun !

i like the playing with halftime. keeps it interesting.
the bass could be beefed up a bit imho.
and some reverb or delay on the FX wouldn't hurt.
