yep, I did but have to say it didn't do good to me... look very very good, a bit like nuendo if I am not mistaken. But the approach is a bit different than a sequencer ( cubase and the lot...)
I've been using it as my main daw for a couple of weeks now. It was really confusing to begin with, mainly because I was used to working with fruity, but now I've got the hang of it (a bit) I really like it.
Don't let its looks deceive you. It's nothing like ACID really, it's pretty good lol.
I'm only using it because I installed fl's new beta and it kept crashing on me all the time. If the final release is more stable (for me) I'll probably go back to it. I don't know though, I might not.

is this free, downloaded aint installed yet tho, is it any good, how is the workflo n shit like that, and 2mb surley that aint the whole program. if it as fuck tht must be some clever ass codin

looking over this, this is studio pro shit. you can have everything adjusted like real gear, with post/pre faders, adn all fo the equipment adn buttons are set-up like REAL hard ware, not REASON fisher-price hardware.

started on it last night, got a new intel mac, and my version of cubase sl3 crashes and plays up on it (in rosetta) so I am trialling reaper. So far it seems quite good, i just have to get used to the way it works as i have been using cubase for about 7 years now, so productivity is a little slow atm. I have friends that swear by it, they even say the plugins that it comes with (and fuck me there are a lot!) are quite good as well. Once i get my head around a few minor things that speed up the way I work, I think it will be a winner. It is just frustrating when you are used to working a certain way with speed and good results and then having to learn something over again.
ok, after 2 days fucking around with it, all i can say is its really, really good. If you are used to Cubase, Pro Tools, Logic and the like I think you will have no problem getting your head around this program, after a little teething period. Personally i think the plug ins that come as standard are better than cubases, and the audio/midi routing possibilities are endless. Overall the GUI is really good and it is quick and easy to use to make for fast, concise, production work. No problems handling all my NI stuff, and there are templates ready to go for all those multi outs. For $60, you cant beat it. Reccomended to anyone looking for a DAW that does not comprimise quality at a low cost. Wicked.
