ya, there's a lot of heat about that now. they are FBI bascily. but there's a big report about deep corruption, mostly from a trail with the states. this guy was sent to syria and tortured after wrongly accused a terrorist. some of the evidance was also provided by the mounties, and it turned out to be false.
we forgave the guy and he made a couple million in pay back form the lawsuit. states still say they have info on him being a terrorist though and won't allow him in.
he was in canda and we gave him to the states.
so now there's a lot fo talk about corruption in our highest levle of police.
they say an investigation is not even possible it's that bad, but to have an immediate clean up to help repair attitudes tot eh police.
it's the front line defence for the government. without that, then everyone else will take their job.

but ya, it's the cloest thing we have to a uniform. what makes canada? we are multi-cultural, not that we hae our own unique culture, as much as we embrace and respect others. only country to have 2 offcial languages.

german, french, italian etc etc
there is loads more than that too.
i'll bet, lets say, somewhere like india has loads of official languages.
canada is a beautiful country with nice folks tho.
its one of the only countries i'd leave the uk for,
along with new zealand.
