I thought that too at first, but there's some stuff which is really helpfull if could just find out how it is done... and that's where the tutorial comes in.
Made this one sticky because it's basic knowledge, should be easy to find for anyone in need of EQ help.

the best tip i learned was the crank up a narrow band and finding an ugly sound then reducing it. that works so good for noobs, and after a while you'll be able to identify it without doing that as often. still see pro's do it sometimes.

cant download it, does it say anything about narrow qs and wide boosts, i can never remember which way round but i once heard it was better to do one than the other.... i also know it can sound unnatural to make thin boosts in the higher end of the scale...
anyone know about this?
