Here is a fantastic Eq tutorial which i found on another fourm which i think was first posted on D*A

anyway its not much new stuff to me as i generally been working like this for a while. But its taken me a long time to get this far and i think this could really help those that need help with EQing and mixing.

I thought that too at first, but there's some stuff which is really helpfull if could just find out how it is done... and that's where the tutorial comes in.

Made this one sticky because it's basic knowledge, should be easy to find for anyone in need of EQ help.

the best tip i learned was the crank up a narrow band and finding an ugly sound then reducing it. that works so good for noobs, and after a while you'll be able to identify it without doing that as often. still see pro's do it sometimes.

the tutorial does cover this technique Wink

one of the best ways to learn.....your ear soon learns what needs doing after doing this for a while

cant download it, does it say anything about narrow qs and wide boosts, i can never remember which way round but i once heard it was better to do one than the other.... i also know it can sound unnatural to make thin boosts in the higher end of the scale...
anyone know about this?
