does anyone know of a good eqing plug in i can get my hands on.
i have fruity 5 and 7 but prefer 5 and use that mostly.
i feel limited with the standard ones in fruity 5, there is a good
one in fruity 7 (EQUO) but it wont work in 5.
any suggestions?

nothing wrong with the eq in fl. there is voxengo who model analog eq's that even have self-feedbacking resonace! there's PSP EQ for mastering at 64-bit float point. there's probably more vst's for eq's than any other DSP. i use the eq native to whatever platform i am doing with music, because it usually takes the least amount of resources, and that can be a major drain, if every track has at least1 or 2.

sometiems parametrics are too mcuh fuss and the graphic eq's are easier to just remove sounds, and they are more tonal, working with the music nicly. but fruity doesn't have graphic eq's. it has 8 band para. which is good.

use graphic eq's then tell me about limited.

i mostly use 7 band eq and want a better one is all.

you make another one. 14. want more? add another. and EQUO is different, you mean the Parametric EQ.

if you need to shape something so much that you need more than 7 bands, then get a new sound maybe? usually 4 or 5 is the most i would think you'd need.

just asking if anyone knows of any bigger badder better nicer eq.

its the lower ends of the frequencies that i want tighter control on.
just sometimes the 7 band doesnt have enough settings (only 3 on the lower tip.)
as in some reviews, peeps have said something about my bass.
just a standard query answered by some polishing turd nonsene. PAH!

you can use all 7 bands for the low end it's a fully parametric eq. you can hcange the symbols at the top to be ANYTHING. they can be para, or high pass or notch or shelf. i'd like you to find another eq that adaptable with such a low cpu consumption. EQ's are overrated. it's compression and reverb you need a variety of. you can get some nice compressors for low end control. Voxengo has 2 LFpunch, LFmax and PSP has PSPBass.

not got too good a grip on that yet.

used to work with just two bands until reason 3 came out.

eq is really not a big deal. rarely use it to extremes, I'd slap a bass notch on a recorded crash that has some low end for example

as someone said if you need to eq a sound so much, better try changing the sound itself

apart form that fro most sounds two bands is enough
