Please check out my new track '1 D Bass' and post your comments here!!!
Still exploring but evolving (almost there) on the new gear. (Macbook Pro 2,33 with one extra G ram (that makes 2 in total); Reason3 rewired to logic7 or Live6) again a style combination between roots reggea, jungle and dnb. NOT WEIRD this time!!!!
anyway let me know what you think of it.
cheers

straight up? fresh intro, new freqs in comparrison to what i have heard on this site. I think I gotta get my OCBs out. Woah! Love the drop, minimal, yet tasty. 2nd drop with lead is cool, the lead cuts through like a knife. Bass at 2.10 is choice, fuckin choice. Like bboy buys some drum n bass flavoured life savours. Cool feeling overall, really enjoy this one, keep it up. I reckon with some mcing, this track would have its own place. nice one

Ya man, feeling iree
Damn I love this shizzle, sunny vibes
The structure is top notch, the way it builds up from the chilled out intro to the distorted lead at 1:31 is
Damn I listened to the intro 6x to absorb it completely, incredible stuff
the dnb beat is introduced in a completely natural way, it is just meant to be there. The main melodic reggae part evolves slowly to dnb and back to reggae. I never have the feeling that these styles clash, it just goddamn FLOWS!!!
I love how the reggae comes and goes and these little touches always remain in there, be it the horns or a percussive thingy...
The reggae guitar, bass and piano are stunning, sounds just like it should. So are the horns, and the dub delay effects!!
The song seems short but it is over 4 minutes.
The only things I would change if it was my mix is the distorted lead - it is a little bit too thin for my taste, I would have filtered off the mids less. And the bass is heavy, but this is OK, have you ever been to a reggae festival lol, they looove phat bass
Big up mate, this is a killer tune!!!!!

Nice intro - pretty sample heavy - but the mix of different reverbs on them is nice. Delay is really nice too - but seems to cut off abruptly right at the drop. Cool sounds - they could use a bit of reverb though to blend with the space that the reggae stuff has before it. For example, when it drops again at 1:30 - that added synth's reverb fills up the mix and makes the next transition at 2:00ish really smooth. The drums are wicked - love the groove you've got going with them. The analogue wobble stuff at 2:15 and then at 2:25!!!! wicked - sounds amazing, and drums are damn funky through here. Big chord change at 3:00 before dropping back in is pure slick. Drum filtering at transitions was spot on. Overall, this is a really creative track - tons of cool synth work and a really nice blend of musical samples and ripping electronic funk. The first intro of this electro stuff into the samples was a bit choppy - but from there on it was seemless. NIce work.
