i've had some problems with some breaks not sicing in fruity.
for example, the halph price breaks on here, also some david carbone breaks.
when i try to chop em in slicer, it all comes out as ONE LINE instead
of all the seperate hits?!?!
anyone know why this happens with some breaks????
not urgent, as i have hundreds of others that do work, its just annoying not knowing!

Breaks with a high noise treshold (a lot of hits going on) tend to slice not as good as the very clean ones. You could try to fidle around on the sensitivity of the slicer or... slice it yourself. Only a minute of work and the result is for sure good.
I know some people who alwas cut it up themselves and don't rely on the machine for it.

its not that its not slicing as good as usual, i mean, its not slicing at all.
it just goes into the slicer as one long note with the break in that?!?!?!?!
also the tempo does not auto adjust?!?!?!?!?
cant do anything with them.

Adjust the settings of the Fruity Slicer: under slicing select medium or sharp auto slicing, and under Dump beat to piano roll select normal. If you select flatten (groove) here, you will get the flat line you're talking about.

i get the exact same problems with my breaks too.. and if you click on medium sensativity, what it usually defaults to, it'll slice them. meaning there is no problem. it just doesn't. it might be the file format or something ont he cut itself.
i think, and this is only a theory. i make them loops. from front to end. this may translate over to ONE huge slice. thus fl thinks these are the predetermined slices, and uses it. basicly negating all slices.
on wav files you can save slices, or loop points. i don't tihnk there's much for programs to know which is which, evne though they cna have tags saved for each "slice" point.
it's probably simpler then what i am saying, but i ahve never found any information on these and just know this myself, from doing these drum loops.
i can clarifiy more if anyone wants. but i think i need to talk more about wav files then i know as fact, as much as from experince.
IF ANYONE UNDERSTANDS THIS OR COULD TELL ME MORE I'D LIKE.

don't know whether you guys have tried this before, but you can actually slice in edison. you can right click and add 'regions' that can act as your slice points. don't know how it works but it made my day knowing NOW I DON'T HAVE TO SWITCH APPLICATIONS... so annoying
