Please check out my new track 'High Standard' and post your comments here!!!
Hi guys,
New track by me, long time since the last one because i've been using a lot of time to get used to ableton and dumping reason in the trashbin.
Not really a track you'd expect from my side, the dark side, but i think it works out pretty well and i see it as my best track yet.
Would love to know what u guys think about it.
Cheers,
Luuk [D Juice]

Not your everyday darkstep track no
but I'm on both sides of the spectrum , so no prob there.
+) Sound quality, EQ, Mastering, FX, everything fits, rolls
-) too "nice", even for liquid, not much sub action going on, more variation please, the lead synth sounds too "preset", the vocal doesn't add anything to the overall feel of the track.
Deff some nice stuff you managed to squeeze out of Ableton. I don't know the program at all, feel free to write somnething about your change towards it in the brand new Abelton forum.

here's a trick with delay and vocals, if you want to hae that non stop delay sound and yet still have clear vocals, you use a bit heavy compression after the delay, and set the delay mix we/tdry to something pretty low, 10% or whatever.
the compression will make the delay sound like it's set to 40% or more, with a longer decay, but when the dry sound, the vocals, comes through it will be louder and more understandable.
you'll probably need to use less feedback int he delay line also, since the compression amp's the delay.
just to help with that vocals sample.

i really dig those spacey sounds.
solid mix down.
i enjoyed the melodies
i think the snare sounds a bit light, or slappy. perhapes layering another snare under there would help make it sound bigger.
overall its a good track.
cheers.
