I just got my>"Warp Factory" today, bought it of ebay for 200.00 canadian(which is a steal, usually go for 250.00 US), had this beast years ago, you can literally breath into it and make big thick twisted bass, it insane, highly recomended.>>

yea the varios does that same thing freeze button, midi controlled, or by pushing the button ont he front, one of the nobs. i have been tolds it's better to just crank the tiem button up instead.
varios is only by roland, as far as i know there's no one else that does it.
listening to the sample now, that's crazy. could do some amazing acid tris with that. crazy. that's a phat breath.

actaully the guy that taught me about this did a remix for ashantai, and he did chords with her voice using this, nd changed some fo teh melody, and they got really nervous about and didn't like it. it was crazy and amazing. he redid it without the chords, got a gold record for the remix. he loves it. its a great tool for r&b. i used it to make crazy fucked up vocals. it's flexable for a lot fo things, since it's mostly a sampler with amazing time and pitch manipulation.
drums guitar samples, vocals, if there's a wah on guitar it can pitch bend it and keep the wah, as if it was done AFTER the pitch bend. remarkable.

cheers, will try it out and let you know,, if it doesn't work with a midi controller, I can allway's run it through the external input's on the virus, that would have a simular effect, glad you liked the mp3, it will will interesting to run section's of or a whole track through it.

Cheers, here's an mp3 me made showin a wee taste of the "Envelope Follower" on the Filter Factory> http://www.sendspace.com/file/3tjzcx, the first example is dry no effect and then I play it again with Env Follow, tune used was mighty "Capone-Guess Who".
