Does ableton have any synths? I value the VST option pretty much, as I can patch up FLStudio from within it.... I'm planning to go over the tutorial, to learn how to use it.

for drum and bass, i think it's useless. for downtempo it's cool...
to be honest i ahte the sub forums because i don't want to go into each of them and check out posts, so i never ever see what's going on, all this dividing isn't cool....
you shuld set-up a thing in hardware for monitors, mics, synths and effects
and the production questions into whining bitching and complaining?
then you'll see even less responses.
what was the probelm with having all of the software in one thread? i liked it. i know about all of them, but i don't care to look it up, but if i saw something i knew i could help . . .

that's right don't prove me wrong, just make faces. i hate live because it has to sacn every fucking vst when it loads, and it crashes on my comp. there's one synth.
the effects are pretty amazing, but for there being one synth, i can't use it. but even most of the effects are just cool. i likethe borg preset, but all of thoes can be done with vst's so there's nothing that exclusive.
When i first found Albeton, i was all up int he hype around it and everytihng, i thought, i'd give up FL Studio and just go for this. so i made a buch of songs, actually i think a bunch of the first songs i made here were on it. but the sampler was so limited, only 8 samples at a time?
found the drum sampling was clumsy and not as easy as slicer. and the way the main arrange window and the loops was akward at best. it felt divided.
if i were a big ups, sample user, that just had several thousand snippits of synth samples to use, i would. i mean i probably do even, but it's worse then using presets in my eyes. The sampler in Albeton is great and eay to loop with and customizable much better then FL's.
if i were to play anytihng live i'd could find it appealing for being able to through stuff together.
actually, here, this guy is awsome
http://www.roland.com/products/com/VariOS/images/top_L.jpg
that makes me want one. but he's doing downtempo style of music i tihnk.

this guys good example of sample based music, that's actualy kinda downtempo!
yea from what i hear from most guys that use live, and they do a a lot of styles they prefer Live for downtempo, and i would agree, it's a cool little program for what it does, which no ones does as good.
quick fast easy midi. and they have great marketing, one of the best for sound programs.
what the name of a dnb artist tha uses albeton?

no ones tryin to prove you wrong halph. i know 3 local guys tht use ableton for dnb i use it as my main sequencer now.. it does work for midi based apps as well as sample based shit.. the internal resampling is very handy.. time stretchin tools rock.. onboard effect are good even tho there is only one synth. its all nondestructive audio editing.

yeah the simpler is kinda lame ,but it makes a great "sampler" for version 5.dont forget the operator,it also is weak.i use the daw for its interface and use my own plugins and vsts.i dont have a prob with it crashing.i have a amd 6500 64x2 processor with 2 gigs of ram.well lets see...... i know evol intent uses it in cubase.........so does noisia............as well as the digital conspiracy(well at least noise tek does).im not sayin ableton is the end all solution, but completly useless? thats a little bit harsh.
