Hi,

There is a sound on some certain d&b tracks that I have come to want, featured on tracks like 'Quasimodo' by Loxy & DJ Ink (1:07mins approx into track)and 'Airlock' by Usual Suspects (2:37mins approx into track). The sound is a high pitched voice sample, used in many db productions.

Excuse me for asking (if this is a commonly known db sample), but where could i possibly get this sound, if it is on a sample cd? or perhaps did the artists make the sound?

Find at least one of those tracks on some online recordshop that has clips (redeyerecords for example) and pass the link so people can hear what you mean.

you mean the 'uh'-sample? I have no experience with that sample whatsoever, but it makes me think of sampled vocals out of funk music, perhaps check some funk vocal samplepacks..

if you mean the "uh" sample that's james brown baby hallelujah, most sampled man in history (true!), well in the brief history of sampling that is.

if you mean a rather high pitched 'eh' of somesorts, it's part of a typical oldskool break, don't know which one though, have it around somewhere Smile

maybe 'think' break ...

The "euh" is in the original "Cold Sweat Break". Look for the 101 Breaks pack, it's in there.
