ok, this maybe a stupid question, but say if you added compression, reverb etc to the layers of your beat and then rendered it, and then opened it as a audio sample, would it still be compressed, have reverb etc

well assuming that you are using fl studio,cubase,acid,sonar,ableton,orion or any other daw ,if you added comp,reverb etc. then you would have effects on the sound no?start by telling me what your using and maybe i can help you.

For example in Cubase SX 2.2 I use, there are about 4-5 different methods to do the "rendering" part. Differences also come from original source of the sounds (be it soft synth, audio track, live input from external synth etc).

Depending on method I use, effect either gets saved into rendered audio file, or not. You need to provide us details from system you use, for us to tell, how to do it in your sequencer.

i use fl6 , yes if you save it all the fx will be saved in the sample too

guess its that what you meant ?

well the layers that you put the effects on would obviously have the effects on them.when you render ,you render the selected output(master,drums whatever).so if you put the effects on that selected output then it must be there.unless you hit the lil green buttons to turn them of on the mixer board.

flr ender's it as you hear it. so if you hear the effects on the master track, then they will be rendered.

the only things you won't hear will be high quality of some fl plug-ins that improve with rendering, like the TS404.
