the first break is a bit badly cut
when it drops at 1:20 its fine.
not sure on your main bass, as you said its not being equed yet
otherwise not liking it as much as big bang

bass clips when puttin it full volume because of the no compression.
I might add other sounds to it (strings , sounds...)
and maybe redo the bassline.
comments welcome

hah
yeah thats my problem most of the time
so i'll explain why i always get this fault:
i started finding a cool sample (the one with the flute) and cutted a part out that fits to the pattern. then i thougt i'd make a jungle tune for once
but yeah shit turned into a whole different tune when i found a dark vocal.
then i thought mmmhz why not make it a lil harder , so i added some basskicks and added the high synth. then did some variations.
so i agree all the above
, but now i'd like to know ... what should i do to this track , what should i keep , what should i trow away
and for the record... thanx for listening

i suggest cuting the bottem end out fo the flutes, the very bottem of the drums, and pads. make that bass be stronger. nice drop.
sick bassline.
ya there's some mud int hat with the flute sand bass. i dont know if you have anytihng esle going there.
yay, it goes nicly.

I must say I'm impressed with the quality you actually got out of fruity...
The flute is definitely different, it kinda grows on me the more I listen to it.
Maybe it would be cool to make your own break, instead of using chopped up samples.
Agree with Halph price, cut the basskick and the flute, but I would say kicks around 65 hertz and the flute somewhat around a 100 (flutes don't need bottom end) that will clear up the tune quite a lot.
Cheers,

you can use a compressor on the master, very lightly, it helps to make things stick togther, adn then whatever else effects (eq, reverb, some stuff to make it sound gritter) and then a maximizer at the end. or as the rest of the world calls it, a limiter. which is a compressor that's ratio is over 10:1.
really, there's a lot you can do.

ok well i think i have too less knowledge of compresion
first i use EQ on each channel , first get that right
when needed (when db meter is still some in red , or if kick peaks in red ...
i use a compressor
when things are still too quited after i turn it loud , i use a 'loudness' vst.
sub is almost always in red so i use a compressor fot that too ..
then when every channel is EQed and compressed...
i see the master is still in red (prolly because each channels freqs where counted up...)
and then i put a compressor on the masster to keep everything on 0db
thats my story , where's my fault

the quality of the compressor
the finaly compressor should make your compressor crash. basicly. look inot voxengo. they have quality mastering compressors and limiters. it's like 700ms latency , which is a lot, but it makes such nice compression that even if it's pumping, it adds to the mix, a breathing. it actually sounds good. most compressors on computers, don't.
vintage compressors from WAVES are nice too, i find a bit more finicky to use though.

and is it bad when your master peaks in red ?
by the way the 'limiter mda' sucks cause its just like the standart compressor but then without ratio (or the ratio you said)
i just need the right explanation look :
my question is:
how come my master peaks in red , while all other channels are below the red
(track splitting on its way , heafty heafy remake)
