bit of a silly thread....just out of intrest just wondered how you would define dnb, i would not say that there is a right or wrong answer, as everyone has their own limits when a tune is dnb and when it is not - if that makes any sense?

oh no .. it has started again
well here:
dnb is : kick snare pattern with ghostsnares between at a tempo of:
breaks: 150 - 160 bpm
jungle: 160 - 175 bpm
dnb: 175 - 185 bpm
raggajungle : 185 -190 bpm
breakcore/hardcore/core : 190 - ...

So some similar thread on DOA the other day.
Let's say 165-175 BPM and a dominant snare in the drumline.
Can't think of anything else that would still cover the whole range.
If you would ask a definition of any substyle there would be more to it, but then again some people don't want substyles to be mentioned at all.

well as subdivisions there is the:
happy dnb
/ dark dnb
that should be enough
