I'm not sure I'm feeling this. It sounds very weird. Is there any concept behind this or anything?

I really like music that has that whole "randomness" to it, but at some point I like it to glue together and drop. IMHO this track built up well through the random type intro, but left me waiting for a massive beat/bass drop where it all comes together before going random again at the end. The second snare in the intro sticks out a bit too much, and overall the rhythm seems to get a bit cluttered and I cannot focus on the programming. The choppiness gets a bit too much without a solid, gelling, drop, and seems a bit drawn out. One thing for sure, it felt like I was underwater, tripping out. There is definitely a lot of potential, but for me a drum n bass track needs a focal point (ie a massive riffing bass/beat line), as well as blurred aspects. Just trying to be honest, but you did take me on a bit of a trip with this one.
please remember, these are my honest thoughts, and i am trying to be somewhat constructive.
goony.

now thats what I call a good review!!! you dont have to appologize or be shy, this is one of the most critic sites on the planet. If you cant take the heat of comments and reviews you dont belong here. the reviews are to improve your skills. none "Fat tune bro" reviews are helpfull Unless they really are but for that matter, few songs are. In all my time here (on dnb.be), the songs that are really wow, cann be counted on two hands.
I'm only glad you took the time to listen carefully and analyze a bit. but then again I only make drumnbass to exhale moods and frustrations (as for metal, hardcore, techno,...).(this one was made in a day, feeling much better now)
I usually make jazzy-dubby-Trippy_things. dont hesitate to write further reviews like this. they work. producers will take the essence out of it (or not)
cheers

oceans do smell
like the avantguarde approach with the piano. the drumkit is from another place tho, deff not what i expected. then again any muphasta tune isn't
it does drop however. bizzare, Im actually quite liking the falling synth. with some bass power and distortion it would make a smasher easily (such is the first few bars at 2:30)
as always, the structure is a bit non existant
feeling the vibe tho and getting a few ideas while listening. let me know if youre up for letting me remix it

nice1 m8 souns like drum'n'bassed jazz(sometimes) with an ocean theme , but im not sure about the last 1
hmmm nice tune , dont know what to expect each second , some times it sounds nice (for me) and sometimes its just like chaotic combination of samples , no harmony in some periods of the tune , i guess piano parts are the best for me ...
Btw intro in my opinion should show the theme more ...
cheers !
