This is an article about Liam Howlett of the prodigy chucking his entire studio for his laptop and Reason. Pretty interesting! Though it also says he used 10 years worth of samples on his computer too.

thing is.
the most recent album, although having bits n bobs programmed in reason (from samples!!! - not the reason soundbank!!! ahem. 
) was mixed within pro tools i believe.
its a big difference from having ideas within reason to actually making them sound what some would call pro.

Yeah fair enough, he did use a lot more than just reason. But he still described it as an essential tool to getting the creative flow back. Its just cool to hear successful professionals talking about how great reason is...simply cos I own and use it.

Totally agree. The only exception was Spitfire, a tune which is among their best.

I agree with that, although I'd go a step further and say they haven't made anything good since experience.. and that album was made almost entirely with a Roland W-30 workstation, all the sequencing etc, which just goes to show that the guy is a genius and its not what he uses but how he uses it!

On the Props website they have Liam going on about how great Reason was and the album was created on it and mixed in Pro Tools BUT I think he was interviewed in Sound on Sound and he said the synths were crap and thin so he use real ones instead.
