Hi people,
All i want to know are some good programs to make my drum beats on. I like to make drum and bass and i need to know some programs that will allow me to make some decent sounding beats.
I have always been curiouse about how the pro producers make their beats sound so good. People tell me to use samples, but i want to know how the sample was made in the first place... Are there any pro drum machines or anything like that?
HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR BEATS?

You could check out battery as a drum VST, I don't use any. Use a slicer for breaks (Fruity Slicer, Beatslicer or Izotope Phatmatic Pro).
For 1 shots I just use a piano roll.
