Hey
Long time since my last track, and last tracks were compo stuff and remixes... Thisone's finally all mine again 
Made the base about 2 months ago, picked up the work yesterday and no here's the almost finished product. The last body is a bit long maybe, have to think about that, but for now I've heard enough of this track
Time to take a lil distance, I'll get back to it later.
Worked very long on the drums to give them the power I wanted. I think I succeeded quite good in that correct me if I'm wrong.
So, the title, Alien, where does it come from? A while ago I told you guys I was making a track based on the Alien theme. Well, this is it
I bet none of you hear anything from Alien in it, but I assure you this is based on that theme, without accually playing the same melody offcourse (don't want to get sued
) and to make things less obvious I refused to include any samples from the movies
Anyway, hope you like listening to it even more as I did making it
In the listen section offcourse!
Only 80kbps to have some kind of protection, and it's badly encoded.

The first thing that pops in my head hearing this track is the quality of mixing. (Although curious about the more HQ version 
)
I love the mettalic alien-atmospheric effect with some nice echo, mmmm 
but to give also some harder critics I find that there is somewhat to much emphasis on the beats in the intro (first 2 minutes). I would make them less tight, more groovy or something like that 
And yes ofcourse the faaatttt basses like you usually do are present again (you are goddamn good in making those killing subs). The bass is damn well mixed at my point of view (or better hearing), very powerfull and no hassle for my speakers mmm

Nope I don't think it is boring because I like the style the track is made. For me the track is made with reasonable minimalistic melodies (but well done something that's damn hard to do I think). That makes it just more enjoyable to fantasize for the listener according me. I like those moments on parties when you completely feel yourself in a track and start fantasizing new melodies while it is going. This would be such a track

damn quality track, don't like it all the way tho...
It starts to bore me after some time... maybe work out the melody! wikkid melodies were raving tru my while hearing this!
some audiosamples from the movies would fit verry wel here i think!
synths.. perfect
bass.. perfect, maybe some variation?
drums... amazing! truly
love these minimalistic drums! but some more variation wouldn't hurt... (I love chaos on those drums, so that's imo 
)
maybe some more low bodysounds to fatten it up?

Listening...
Overall song sounds nice. BUT :
Don´t like the snares u use... They sound ... I don´t know... Just don´t like em to much
bass (can´t hear them on stupid PC boxes... Waiting till I am at home)
Drums need more variatons. Or maybe snare need more variations... don´t know...
Rave sounds sounds nice, but like emblem said... A bit more "phatness" in those sounds would fit
And last but not least (and also like emblem said) some vocals inside...

<noob but like the site seems like alot of good info here.
I like it as a minimalist track, which I'm not usually fond of. I'd definately play this one. I think the second half does get a little boring...perhaps you could slice up your beat and change it up a little bit like amens when it clears out(I guess the bass cuts out? I can't tell I'm on shitty speakers right now). A little short creepy synth could be cool too.
^^just ideas I think it sounds great.

The snare does sounds metalic, but it's not an amen snare. They're both in the JX-305 Snares samplepack which is in the downloadsection (022 and 023 to be precise) with not too much of processing on them...

you know that track Dirty Money-Digital, how the highs and percusion roll through the hook and when the shit drops it sounds like it didnt cause everything seems centerd of that dudadudlda instead of something worthy of leading the assault, like subz maybe
.....drum and bass not drum and pads
