So, I wanna buy a SICK synth that has fat sounds. I heard from a few places that Noisia uses Virus synths to get most of the fatness to their bass. What I was wondering is which one is the best synth (the TI desktop, TI Polar, or TI Classic) or are they the same. Also, is there another synth out there that is better and makes fatter sounds then the Virus series. Keep in mind I'm a total Noisia B-Line lush!! Appreciate any input on this one.

TI only cuz it's a VST "analog" synth. i say analog only cuz it's not really analog, but it's good enough.
TI is the latest one, and you'd think, the best, since it has more features then the other 2.

id go for the C,...good price compared to what you'll pay for a ti....and if you know how to do it without vst support,..you really don't need the software/vst headaches,....allthough i think access sorted the os on the ti..anyway,..make shure you get "soundiver" workin for whatever virus you choose to buy,...its the best part,...loads of free soudpack's,..cheers.

I guess it just means they use a preset of the synth "as is", it's untouched, RAW.

with experience with most of the virus systems, i can tell you the ti is the best with the least hastle. having the ability to save all your patches on the soft synth and not having to fuck around with systex, which always fucks up or re finding all the patches you saved everytime you open a project is worth the cash. plus i found that it sounds fatter then it predecessors. in fact it pretty much sounds better than anything else i have worked with, or at least it is easier to get a fatter sound out of it, especially if you are not experienced with synthesis.

There is a new Virus out called the Virus TI Snow. It is a small and cheap table top model, but apparently it has the sound engine of the big ones.
One of my friends is getting one of these in the next few weeks, hope I can have a go at it soonish

Looking G
D Especially that sound over USB lets you work with very few cables and all digital.

as far as i know virus TI runs like a vst except it gets proccessed in the module. that's what makes it so revolutionary. a software synth that runs hardware quality. i can only guess at what the latency would be but i figure it would be only the extent that usb would give. FIREWIRE for life.
