Please check out my new track 'Something Special (updated Mix)' and post your comments here!
This is the remix of the last version. No wobble, just reece. This track was done with Reason 3.
All sounds are my own, except the drums and vocals obviously.
I have made this track on a new computer. On this machine, the sound sounded nice. But I had to convert the WAV to MP3 on my old computer. Some reason, it sound really bassy and clipping. If this is the case, please let me know and I will upload a new version with adjusted levels.
Please ignore the end. Was meant to cut it off

The drop needs more tension, when it drops it goes nowhere for a second or 2.
It's all bassy and clippy.
You have some great sounds there, with the right approach this could be a killer in style of Shadow Boxing or Bad Company. It all sounds a bit messy now, clean up the structure.

Really strange how the sound is totally different on this new machine. I will have to look into why.
Think I am going to have to install Wavelab so I can use the frequency analizer. If anyone knows of any other good analizing software that is free (trying to avoid crackware now days), please let me know... Thanks
When are you going to put something new up? Been a while mate.
like the melodies a lot but the mix seems to be a bit flappy round the bottom end, needs some tightening up i reckon and some separation between the kick n sub
And yeah as you said it seems to be clipping quite badly
Voxengo Span is a great free analyser or if you can get hold of Computer Music Magazine there is a really good analyser on there called Freqanalyst by bluecat audio
I chucked a sub under the reece and I think it has knocked the sound out, should of sidechained it aswell. Should of gone with the sound on my old machine eh! Oh well. Gonna give this one a break. Heard it to many times now
Got something else started now also.
Thanks for the links BH, much appreciated. I will look into these.
This is a cool track. Sounds a lot like the jungle scene about ten years ago.I really like the dark bass lines.Nice synths / pads.... give the track a sort of ominous vibe. The drums are a bit basic for my taste (that's just me).The initial beat drop felt a bit rough. Overall a pretty sweet track. Keep it up.

Would deffo agree with Ketz, BD and BH. Really nice dark melodies, great sounds but the whole thing is very bassy and clippy. If you could only sort out that aspect of the tune, it'd be a very nice tune.
Btw, I love that tearing reese! Super melody, super sound. I love the Ed Rush-like snare during the intro too.

everything else has been said but I wanted to get that in.
Thankyou. I'm quite happy with the reese. Was really easy to make. I thought you had to mix half a dozen subtractor together, but I only used one with a bit of modulation and I didn't use the Saw wave that everyone says you need to use. Also, the envelope filter makes a great difference
