But then the next question: "where do I start ?" I don't want to take sounds from sample cd's or whatever. It must be snares and drums that I make. Now my question is how do you, producers, get the sounds ? Do you people hit with your fist on a table and record it ? Do you have a real drum installation ? What's the origin of all those great sounding drums on sample cd's ? What's the technique to start from zero ? Even the men in the ice-times or stoneage could make drum n bass this way, hey and maybe they did...
