I think it will be hard to get good decks for that price.. I'd say ur only hope is e bay.
But u might also consider using a software mixer. U need two sound cards and its not as hands on, but may be helpful. (u can get a demo of Mix Vibes Pro 4 or 5 and u can mix for half an hour at a time)
I know this is not a viable solution for someone who wants "decks" but could be a cheap alternative...
???anyone know of any good turntables, 2, for $200 or less???
for a beginner cause I want to start DJ-ing
go to www.pssl.com and buy or look for the stanton scratch pack 2 or seomthing...its 500$ ad you get 2 str8-60 direct drive tt's...and shti mixer but decent to learn on and a set of phones...not to mention a cool video to watch...check it out for sure....
if anyone is still reading this post...get some used ones first...like used numarks or somethin...simple tables that are really easy to learn on...cuz you could buy some flashy ones and then jus give up on em...that is unless you have the virtue of patience. at least, all of this is what the owner of my local dj shop told me. i believe he's the admin of a site called http://www.drumnbasstv.com u all should check it out *shameless promotion*
Whatever you do - do not get belt drives!!! they're not even worth learning on. get yourself some cheap direct drives, maybe Kam (thats what I started on) then save up for 1210's or TTX1's
