Please check out my new track 'W18 (remaster)' and post your comments here!!!

A track I made 2 years ago (aprox) and I descided to remaster it, since the bass was too loud and the hoover was too quiet.
So I didn't change anything to the sounds or structure.

This is also the first time I do some post-rendering mastering. I tried making the mix really loud but still clean.

I know the track has some problems
- The intro is lame
- The intro drums are bad
- The intro is empty
- The outtro... which outtro?

But I'm quite satisfied with it acually. I made thisone mainly to work on my amen editing skills, but I think the main idear of the track is quite allright... Should I rework it more?

Glad to hear my sound system wasnt broken after 15 secs. if it gave me that impression the intro must be kick ass. like you said yourself a bit empty but not less creepy!!! the first beat is indeed to empty. after the break killer basses Bigup . but I feel that there is still something to come when it ends.
The structure in the beginning untill 75% of the song is ok. But after that you seem to have no idea where to go.
Like i said before this story is unfinished. It doesnt raise enough to the end.
3,5/5

cheers

wow.... very nice buildup, and i can really hear the layering in the snare.... Bigup

bass is a little grainy. atmosphere is really nice....
those snare hits are monstrous very upfront...!!

Reminds me of leon switch and kryptic minds-take the pain away... very cool....

i dont know too much but it almost feels like its wanting to go somewhere but ends up just kinda....ending?

nice outro Bigup

i dont know very much about compostion or timing but this is very good

4/5

I like the beginning of the intro for sure! It's very very digital but just because of that I like it.
The intro drums are not that good, they need a lot more fill.
I like the "silence" beginning 1'11''!
The Amens are good but I don't like the combination of the kick and the sub bass. When I hear the kick without sub it's good, together with the sub I find it too weak. Is this a sideeffect of the effort to get a louder mix?
When the track gets at full speed, an extra high lead (short blips) couldn't hurt I think. Or maybe some weird samples on the background could work too.
I don't mind the short intro, it doesn't always has to be a long swirling pad-sound ending.

Apart the Kick and sub bass the mix is fairly tight at first listening to me.

Conclusion: Rework on it further! Big Grin
For now: 3/5

Nope, it's like that in the original too.

And you're always welcome to come over and help me out with them changes Big Grin

ok the electricity thing is euhm freaky! don't lett me hear this when i'm stoned man! i would jump under a chair! but i don't really like the quiet moments in the beginning...think a short silent moment isn't bad, because after the break it seems more heavy then! but i think this is a bit to long, as if the song has to start over from then. your amens sound serieusly good i think.
your build up with your drums are not bad i think, but i think it would be good if you put another sound or something in there until a higher point is reached and then leave it out again. but...i don't know Smile i not that experienced
Would rework the beginning to yep.
like it in general! those amens... mènga!! Smile
yoep!

What u said is right...a bit more work in the intro wouldn't hurt...but the quality is cristal clear, the way I like it.
That weird white noise is bizarre...it's pretty eerie actually.
Fat amens, good sub, might need a bit more variations.
Hard synth is sweet as, this could turn into real choonage.
Keep um commin hard!!

Well, the static clicks a bit, so I may be due to that. I didn't use compression so it can't be overcompressed Big Grin
