it starts at 0:04. It goes 'dun da-dun, du-du-du dun da-duuu'. Its some sort of horn. There's another one playing at the same time, but at a lower pitch. I'm not concerned with that one. I just want to know the exact instrument which is producing the sound in question. I had a look through my trumpet samples on Reason, and they all sucked in comparison.
Thanks!

It all sounds like a midi soundbank, maybe you should look for some of those or for some samplepacks in that direction.

thanks for your reply. what is a soundfont exactly? in this instance, is it a collection of wavs ripped from a game?

shiiiit I misread what you said. I meant 'soundbank'.

Nope, a soundfont is someone playing all possible notes on let's say a piano and putting all those sounds into one file which you can open with a sound font player. That way you never get silly short or long notes if you play some higher or lower notes.
You may be looking for a generic midi soundbank though.
Try Luxonix Ravity VST, it probably has these sounds.
