Yea i have only ever used ableton and wouldn't consider using anything els, mainly because learning how to use a new daw takes ages. I used to use massive alot in my earlier stuff but have cut down on it alot now, it seems you can always point out a 'massive' sound Smile

i started learning on reason and it was alright. it wasnt too hard to pick up ableton once i figured out how the use the clips and scenes right. i use it for djing too. im trying to cut down on my massive use. though its hard. i dont have any dough for some new soft synths but i will soon.

i use ableton, but that piece of crap is driving me crazy!
lately i find myself spending more time solving 'out of memory' issues etc than actually producing. not to mention it crashes about 20 times a day. i wish i had chosen another daw when i started producing, now i'm stuck with ableton cause i can't afford to waste a few months learning to work with a new one... hopefully the 64bit version will come soon

damn, bitwig looks pretty cool. seems like they borrowed a lot of ableton's look & features, which is a good thing cause ableton would kick ass if only it was available in 64bit version etc
i signed up for beta testing, thanks for sharing man!

Hey guys, I started using ableton but youre limited to a max of 3gb ram coz it's 32 bit, I then bought a mac pro 8 core with logic pro 9, stuck 32gb in it and I've never looked back! I can appreciate not everyone can afford it but trust me, you need a 64 bit daw like logic or cubase 6, with at least 6gb ram then you can load a lot more synth instances. Id recommend omnisphere as a synth, it's unreal. You can learn either of these daws relatively quickly, you tube is you're friend!

Peace

I've use ableton since I began producing (didn't even use fruityloops) and Massive and I love both of them.
Like altodnb said it takes ages to learn a new daw..
