yeah grey, those actually look like a pair i got sorta, except mine are grey. had mine now going on 2 years. originally paid 100 bucks for mine in a local music store, but now you can find them damn near anywhere on the internet for 40-50.
sennheiser hd-497
yeah i know my ass should get something a bit more top of the line, but these things have served me faithfully even after 2 years of running them hard. the sound quality is really damn good too, at least for me. it takes a little bit of good power to get them producing the way they should. they look a little awkward but they'll slam some serious bass and clean highs for the money.

got a prob with mine (sennheiser hd500)
A few days ago i was dj-ing a bit and after a while, suddenly the sound on my hp's get's really fckd up, but not on the speakers.
So I try it on my pc, same
on the tv, same..
It looks like it phases out certain stuff..cus when i was playin GTA San Andreas on my Xbox, the sound of the vehicles was almost gone on my hp but not on the tv speakers, and the volume of the fx was set at full..
And it's the same thing it does on pc and mixer, but if i put the plug in just half it does sound as it should again..
Could it be that..
-the wire is broken (i've stepped on it multiple times while dj-ing)
-the speakers are connected to the wire with some plugs, wich detach very easy, so i had to open my hp a few times to put em back in, could i have put em wrong?
-the hp is broken, go get another one? ( i hope not, i even havent got 30€ at the moment to buy me hd202's)
help me

Probably something wrong with the cable. With sennheisers you could probably buy a replacement cable, but they don't come very cheap. Or you could try fixing it, open the headphones, check the connections, check the jackplug, ....

I don't know, you'll have to ask in the shop where you bought it. I remember someone I know once needed a replacemant cable for sennheiser, but it's a few years ago, so I don't remember the price or anything.

i bought them in fnac, so i guess they'll rather send it back to sennheiser than selling me a cable, but i'm probably going past another shop this week to get me some concorde's so i could ask for it there
