What are the best way of speeding the tempo of samples up in cubase? oviously without touching the pitch...read alot about algorythms but im too shit at maths lol

am i too late..does anyone use this site anymore?? lol

good job i have a good ear but i was literally jus wondering wether there was a vst/device etc tht cud jus speed it up 2 the bpm i want instead of sitting there an finding it myself which takes up a lot a time!

Use the time stretch function. Define bars, check the original length and enter values for the resulting length. Play around with the time stretch ratio and set an algorithm.
read the manual!

If it's a breakbeat use a slicer, otherwise use timestretch.
When you're dealing with a long samples you might want to cut it into handleable parts so it's easier to control the timing.

thanks alot battledrone but ive found a 10x easia way then that!

and 'gregg' read the question before writing snobby remarks like tht it was un called for...i was asking if there was a vst/device not how to actually do it

... is to use the timestretch tool which came with cubase, which is therefore free and works perfectly fine. You can type in the bpm yourself, no need "of sitting there an finding it myself which takes up a lot a time". And especially no need for additional vst.

And if you don't know how timestretching works it's not snobby that I advise you to read the manual... it's about time.
