Dear all!
How about :
I start with a very simple d'n'b-track, send it over to someone who makes/adds his own changes,fx,cut&paste's. Then this second version will be sent again to someone else to remix. So everyone willing to cooperate can make his remix of somenone else'e remix. And yes, we can go on & on & on & on & on...
I suggest we send over mp3's (convert wav's to mp3's but please make sure the wav => mp3 is a high quality conversion) and have all the seperate tracks sent over to the next person.
So, who's willing to cooperate in this remix-to-remix-project? If this works out well, we might send over real wav's on cd by mail to improve the overall quality. But first let's see what this project can lead to.
Of course, i excect everyone participating to upload his/her version on this site.
I noticed different nationalities on the board, so i think it would be nice if this track travelled all over the world, being continually reshaped and modified by you gents.
Waddayasay?
(MSN works the best for me to send some stuff over)
(pm me for msn-hotmail details)
tnx & peace out

I think we already had a topic about this a while ago, but we never acually did something with it.
Cool idear anyway.
So, how do we pull this off? You make a track, send the track and the samples to someone, who remixes, makes a new samplepack and sends it to the next person?
I'd be glad to participate, after the examinations

didn't know about the topic-thing. Seems that i'm not the only one with good ideas..
I make a track, send all the samples + separate tracks to the next volunteer. I think it's best that not too many people are working at the same time on a track.
I mean, it's funnier and more useful for others to see how the tracks changes gradually by every person that gets it's hands on it. So 1 person at the time.
After the exams = when? Or you can perhaps do it in between, by means of blowing off some steam.
And maybe another practical note: producers who are working on the track should upload the result within one week time. So this threads keeps going, and the results can become interesting.
Keep them volunteerproducers coming! show me your guts&bytes!

Hmmm, isn't this a great opportunity to give it a try for the first time?
Anyway, I have my last examn this wednesday
So you can start working on that track mate
Wat do you produce in? I have Cubase SX 1.1 and Buzz, so if it's one of those, you COULD send me the sourcefiles, if I'm next in line...

Ok, i'll try to provide you guys with some dustbin-starting point by the end of the week
I'll send over some mp3's of the samples, beats and rendered tracks 'n stuff.
Surya: i'm gonna try to send them over using my microsoft outlook, but had some difficulties before with that (if that's the case, i'll send you pm, then we have to go msn)
Emblem-x: opportunity enough to misbehave on surya's product!! you're next in line...

Nice idea indeed.
So how many times do you want to let the song be remixed?
Maybe you can put an mp3 clip online after each edit?
Cheers

How many times: Ad Infinitum is latin for: fo'eve & ever...
As long as people wanna remix, the project is on.
All clips shoul be posted here after each edit. Idea is that each producer gets one week to add his ideas..
let the stressy competion begin. Broehahahaaa!!!

I'd wanna give it a try too, sounds like fun. After 26th of june if possible, then I have all the time I need. But what about adding new samples/sounds? It may be usefull for adding your idea to the track, but if to many are added it would be more like a new track instead of a remix.

Remixing = making your own version of a track, that can be quite different from the original. So I think adding new sounds should be allowed!
