Should we leave the possibility open to get the samplepacks from ANY of the remixers involved, not just the one before you?
Whaddaya reckon?

Or do we leave this rule for the next remix-project??? Tongue

It's off course handy, but you don't really need someone to teach u. Just find urself a music production program u like, read the manual carefully & experiment a lot. I guess that's the way a lot of people start with music production. & u remember stuff longer if u found it out by yourself.

Yeah, but if you have to lear a whole new program, the tricks for making music, and you have to do a remix in such a short time... not recommended imo, unless you're a natural Wink

Haven't said anything here yet, but I really like the idea and am figuring out how I can help.

For starters I can put up an FTP account to share all the samples and files etc. Obviously we'll have to keep the login secret so nobody can go in and leech / erase everything. It would be good to have everything available from previous contributors so you can use eg a sample from a previous version which has been erased in a later version.

Maybe I can make a seperate page with a complete pool of all the samples, files, tracks, comments etc that everyone has contributed? This won't be easy but should be possible in some kind of easy to use way, maybe a bit like a version tracker or something. And allowing gritty comments from everyone to keep the contributors on their toes Big Grin

I participated in something like this before.
The way that it was done on this one site I went to was one thing was created (like a breakbeat or a simple beat) then you would download and add one new track over the top. (maybe increasing size, or fading original out at certain points, or dubbing voice/instrument/bassline etc) send it back in then the best version would go up next to download. One track added, and the best version picked etc. no limit on how many submits or times you participate. When the song seems done a new one starts and eventually you could make a cd or something or put up the finished songs for download.
