I don't think that's the way you're meant to do it man.

If you've used FL Studio to make your track, open up the .flp file and use iZotope Ozone as an effect on the mixer channels. I use it on the master channel personally and use parametric EQ's on the other channels.

Can someone else correct me if I'm wrong Tongue

I do understand yeh. Sorry I should've been more clear than just saying it shouldn't be done that way.

When I started using Ozone I tried to do the same thing(export the track, then re-open in FL Studio) and I was told that, rather than exporting it and importing the resulting mp3 back in, that I shouldn't export it at all and I should instead use it on the mixer channels on the project file itself.

However if you want to import the mp3 into FL Studio you need to go onto the Browser in FL Studio and locate the mp3 you exported, then drag it onto the Step Sequencer.

A sample in the Step Sequencer is not limited by the number at the top man. I only ever change the number from ' -- ' if I need to shortern the whole pattern to fit into my song on the Playlist.

Also the root note is C5 or 'Q' on the Keyboard if you have Typing Keyboard to Piano Keyboard enabled.

In any case, try not to master tracks when you have the mp3 as source, because the quality will be catastrophic in comparison to mastering a .wav from the song.

Also, don't drag the tune in the step sequencer, drag it into the playlist, and then load Ozone on the master FX channel.

Try getting a .wav render. Bigup

Agree to the last point.

- render ur track in *.wav (put best quality ur sound card can give)

- drag it to the bottom of playlist (i.e. place where u have automations usually),

- in ur step sequencer u will have "audio clip"

- assign FX channel for this channel or use master channel to put Izotope for it.

hope this is clear, i'm just trying not to look wise, and use some subtle terminology)
lol)

PS. My advice to you is:

- to render separately kicks, snares, hihats, basses, synths and etc (all groupped instruments (just mute all the channels, except the one u render, dont forget automation channels)
- as result u should have 15-30 (or so) wav tracks of the same time-length (depending on the track)
- open in cubase and have fun

It did trick for me.

Render in wav

Muad'Dib is spot on, but you can alternatively use adobe audition or some other audio editor that supports the use of vst's for mastering.
