Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a DAW that has VST support, but is free of charge.

I need something for doing a bit of mastering on my tracks.

I thought that I might be able to use Audacity, but I can't get any vsts to work in real time, just rendering...

I don't want to use pirate stuff now days, so cracked versions of FL Studio, Cubase, Wavelab are out of the question...

Thanks.

Well it's not exactly free but it does come with an amusing as fuck splash screen each time you load it up when the trial duration has run out. Tongue

Very amusing indeed.

Reaper:
tried it (I'm a Fruity head) and didn't like it...
It took me 30 minutes to get a beep out of it.
Enough menu options to get completely lost.
VST's didn't have their normal look and feel (might be better in current version).
I can imagine that it is more ok when you use Cubase, but for the FL or Reason user there is a lot of user good stuff missing.
It's not free by the way, but the trial version is not limited in any way, so it can be used as free software which is ok in my opinion unless you start making money from it.

Darkwave: Looks like a cheap version of FL, never tried it.
