Here and there, you get distortion 'cuz it's recorded to loud (with the subbass)...

I really like the beat, nice synths, nice melodie, it repeats but never gets boring, you got just enough variation, I mean, this is just NICE!!!

I would definitly spin this one on the tables!!!

Great!! Woot

Don't get me wrong, but I think I heard that melody before...

But indeed this is nice...

Too bad it's recorded way too loud...

The snare in the first part is a bit too standard, beat needs a real boost, spice up your hihat (not only that bell-type sound) and snare.

The techno-synth sequence (bassy part that starts at about 1:14) is a bit too much like an old-school techno synth, don't really think it fits...

Too little variation

Nice effort, keep on goin'!

Yep, it's not what we are used to hear around here... It's not quite DnB, it's not quite electro, it's not quite techno, it's... Not bad! Sounds a bit like Aphex Twin, I like that!!
But it could use more variation (the beat itself gives variation, but not enough, the song on it's own should be more complex)
Can't say anything 'bout the sound, it's a totally different style, so a totally different sound...

Very well done!!!

Maybe it sounds 'too clean', maybe give a bit more 'dirt' to the beat...

It could use a little more bass I guess...

But in the end: a nice techstep-like track, I like it!! Bigup

Woohooooo!!!! Dance Sounds real great!!! Very nice beat...

Maybe the synth that starts to kick in at about half a minute is a bit too loud...

Nice one! Bigup

It's a beginning, not the end...
No, really, you can hear you did your best, but it isn't quite right yet (no offence). But hey, that's why you put this song on here, right, to get some feedback and tips, no... Big Grin
Well, I'll try:
- Your kick (bassdrum) has some flaws here and there, it 'stutters', if you know what I mean, it doesn't sound right on certain places. Also, it sounds real 'digital', electro-ish, if you may, try using a natural kick (acoustic, real-live). Same with your hihats and crash...
- Snare is quite OK (but could be better to, try to make it a bit shorter, shorten the release)
- Your melody and synth are a bit basic, not special enough, it lacks depth and bass... Use a different kind of synth, I would say.
- The changes in snare, the little breaks,... Those I like!

You know what they say: "Every beginning is hard" Pleased

Keep on trying! Bigup

Some breaks do sound really familiar Wink
But hey, great switching between them, nice fucked up beats. I like the 'samplehold' effect on the snare in the first part (always did)

By the way: where can I find more breakbeats (you know, the typical ones like the ones ya use in this track...). For instance: I'm looking for this typical 'what's-it-called' - beat, I think it's a 'firefight' or something (don't laugh if this is wrong!). It's the one ya use most in this track. I know there's one in the samplepack, but it's a bit fucked up (distorted,...), I'm looking for the basic one, clean and straight-forward (not cut-up and shit)

(Ow yeah, and this one is for Surya: forget what I said before about reeces and (tr)amens, and about DnB that had to be hard and dark and shite: I was in a really bad mood that day, so never mind the crap I said Big Grin )

Once again: fucked up beats! Great (that's how I like them). Not directly the most danceable tune, but I would find a way to dance on it! Your synths are a bit weird however, they seem to get stuck behind the beat, or maybe that's what you wanted. If I were you, I would keep the melody-line, but try other synths (less cut) and compare it to this version. It don't say it will be better, but maybe it will be... Or maybe it will break down the feel of the song (it's a real cut-up song indeed)... Your choice!
Total: some serious breakbeat shit! Drummer

Hehe, I'm a real big Prodigy fan, and this song was one of my favorites!!! Maybe the remix is a bit too long, but I really like what you did with it!!! Sweet!
I absolutely like the bass U used! Maybe the beat could be a bit better (kick is a bit weird, snare is a bit too "digital")

This track's got a decent feel to it, great reeces (or whatever), maybe a bit louder. The beat needs a bit more push, maybe make the snare a bit snappier... Or layer a little breakbeat underneath it al (not too loud).

Not bad...

Decent subbass, decent beat, maybe a bit more 'roll' in it.
Maybe you can cranck up the vocal (give it some effects, dunno).
Something isn't quite right with the parts where the breakbeat comes in (what is it called, the 'firefight-beat' or something?). Can't really tell you what it is...

Great (break)beat! It's got this great acoustic feel to it... Kick could be a little louder.
Great synth! The only thing I'm missing is a bit 'drive' in your beat when the synth kicks in.
Downtempo part's cool. Maybe a tad bit variation...

But in summary: a great track!

Keep up the good work Bigup

Although I like them amen-breaks too, I must say: I'm getting sick of them... I mean, let's keep it original and make our own beats... In my view, you can use 'em as an underlying base, but not as your main beat... (If I would make one of these songs, I would always feel like I didn't put enough work in them...)

But that's me

I hate it when people say DnB has to be dark!!! DnB is dance music, so you can do what you want with it...
But indeed, the sounds are very, very cheap, this isn't quite what DnB is about...

Try the packs!
