Liking the melodic elements in the track, they really stand out. Not sure if the bass and beats work with them tho, they sound like two different tunes in places. When compared to the melody over the top. The b-line is nice and subby tho, and the beats are nicely processed, snare sounds a little squashed but all good. Think a bit more could be done with structure, it's fairly repetative. Like parts v much mate, nice one!

I like the sound of the plucks and the mallet sounds. The drums are quite thin sounding, with the kick and the snare not distinguishable enough, layer them up? The bassline is promising, it's got a certain drive to it which I like. Same with the beats, but they sound clicky and programmed instead of rolling. Could be a big track with some work!

Unorthadox orchestral style, I'm liking it but think it needs a little more work to sit nicely in the mix against a DnB beat! Think the drums could do with a few more edits and change ups and there's definitely not enough bass or sub! Nice work mate

I like a fairly long intro so maybe a 64 bar thing.. beat dont necessarily have to come in straight away on bar 1 so technicaly from a DJs point of view, the (unmixable) atmospheric part of the intro makes the tune shorter when played in a set.. y'get me?.. safe! Big Grin

Thanks man, I'll be sure to take that really constructive advice on board...

2Ginger - Nice one, cheers. I thought this site was a little more open to different sounds/styles etc, initially thats what attracted me here. Interesting you see this as having an English sound, It didnt occur to me but I see what you're sayin!

Glodaragz - Cheers mate, the intro was a lil bit of absynth and a bit of ES2 (Logic)

Deffo a preview, just a few ideas that I thought might work well together to make a tune. Might have to rethink my battleplan on this one tho, many peeps not feelin, y'kno Tongue

Cheers for the reviews/replies guys. Slightly confused at the fact I've posted three tracks on here, first one from when I started producing to this one now, two years later. They seem to be progressively going down in score Confused To my ears this one is the better of the three tunes but apparently not. Pretty disheartening to find you are actually regressing rather than progressing.. anyone care to shed any light?

I'm not a fan of the sound but you've nailed it. Mixdown is crisp and its all punchy. This would deffo go down well on dancefloors.

This is crude rude. If it was polished up, a few more effects and some modulation on the bass and synths. Whack an lfo or envelope on some of the parts to make it move more. It all sounds a tad stagnant. Do all that and it will be pure rude Big Grin Drums sound good mate. I'm listening on my Technic 'phones and they tend to be a bit mid heavy and top light so I'm not sure if I'd layer up the snare with a more crack-ing one.. Good tune tho.

"The point of the track is to make you wanna drink Coronas on the beach. I was thinking about switching up a few things but I was going for a real smooth relaxed vibe that mixes well"

You summed it up perfect. Keep thinkin about switching things up tho, a slight switch up can work wonders. Otherwise this is tight. I can't do Corona on a beach but screw it a heineken in my studio is all good Big Grin

This is busy, the breaks could be tidied up so they don't sound too separate from the one shots.. try pitching them? Not a fan of the b-line but i'm sure it's an acquired taste so all's good and keep goin with it!

Mmmm. Moody intros are the win. It drops a bit messy and theres too much goin on, but damn there are some evil tearing sounds in there, all good. I'd say redo the mixdown and get it sounding crisper and that is all I can critiscise. Could be wicked this.

Not really feeling those bass sounds but all the melodic parts are cool. Some good ideas in this one, so even if you don't finish this as a tune, keep it and delve into it for inspiration when 'the block' hits

Ha I like the name. Bassline is a little disjointed from the intro. But the intro and the little 'piow piow piow' could be worked into a wicked hook. Sack off the bassline, keep it for another tune and work on the intro, 'piows' and the tubby sample into a new tune, get the levels right and it'd be all good bro, especially if you made it a few years back you shouldn't mind ripping it apart for bits Big Grin

Like the tubular bells esque sounds in the intro but not a fan of that bass sound, its pretty raw and could do with some 'sculpting' Tongue Drums have definite potential but I'd still process them more..

Nice pads n melodies in the intro. Drums need some work but they sound like they're on the right track, give it a few more tunes mate Wink Nice reesey buildup but it could drop way more heavy. Maybe bring up the higher frequencies in the drums and get some reverb goin on, it all sounds quite dry. Loving the vibe tho and if you tonked up that break that rolls in 2.10ish it would be wicked. Nice work tho mate
