Sean Paul dnb remix 02-06-2003 01:08 Forum: Tunes

Hi All,

I just finished a rather simple but effective remix of Sean Paul's 'get busy'. I simply grabbed the mp3 and programmed beats and some fx under it, but the result is in my humble opinion enjoyable enough to share it with you all Smile

Sean Paul - Get Busy (Quinone remix)

Please let me know what you think of this drum 'n bass tune that wasn't supposed to be Big Grin

Eurovisie Songfestival remix? 25-05-2003 14:30 Forum: Offtopic banter

Hi All,

since this is a belgian-based forum, I thought this would be the first place to start Smile I've looked at the festival yesterday with some friends, and during the entry of Belgium we all started beatboxing right away, since the song seems very suitable for a nice drum 'n bass remix.

My question: does anyone has the song as a mp3, and can that person put it online somewhere so I can download it?

Thanks in advance,
Inge

My gosh...soundforge has been my favorite editor for years now. Let's hope Sony won't f*ck it up all up.

But on the other hand: maybe finally vst-support in the next sf-version due to increased budget? Smile No more wrappers, but finally instant gratification!

It's a rather 'coloured' archive though, since it is being hosted by Cakewalk. It does give a rather fast and informative view on recent plugins.

But in the end, all we need for a better musical living is bbe sonic maximiser, isn't it? Wink

But that plugin uses the source of an installed copy of realplayer. It only functions as a host, not a stand-alone player. I had the same disappointment... Crying

Surya: I know the feeling you had when you made those tunes. I lost my original xm's of the period 1994-1996, but those were also minor hardcore anthems Big Grin But didn't we all start with making brutal overdrived hardcore, since it was the most easy thing to make (three channels with distorted 909 bassdrum, two with un-eq'ed hihats, sixteen with standard juno sound and one with a vocal that was already used a million times before)?

My first encounter with drum 'n bass would have been Roni Size's 'brown paper bag' on MTV. I hated it. Fact. But then again, my cd-collection was only filled with the outer regions of metal-brutality. When the focus was switching, electronics arrived, and my very very very first own dnb record was Aphrodite's Style from the dark side. The first real collection were the blue and the red first moving shadow collections (98.1 & .2).

Then the fall began...Big Grin

Ever considered 'culturele maatschappelijke vorming' (how uttermost interesting to combine english & dutch Big Grin ) or 'festival management'? Both studies (here in Holland) can be finished as a bachelor of art, which is nice enough to get yourself rollin' in a very broad area of possible cultural activities.

And it only installs thirtyfour programs that run in the background and totally f*ck up your msconfig, sends a mere three times a second a complete overview of all your software to a international server, and pops up with fourtien windows every third instead of second time that you blink your eyes.

Er, my first post in the producer-area...since when have I become producer? Because I produce? That would make sense though Big Grin

Anyway, good thing to see that people are so active in adding new samples.

Yes, you missed something Smile

Look at the bottom of the master section, and use render there. When this is done, all fx are processed on the original wave.

Another good advice (since you seem rather new to wavelab...hit me where it hurts if I'm wrong Wink ): you can save templates of your fx-chains in the presets section. An amazing possibility if you need to master multiple waves with the same fx-chain, or if you want to check an individual wave with different fx-chains that change only a little bit.

And yes, this advice is fuzzy...I'll explain in detail if interested Big Grin

And also, not knowing eachothers first names made it rather tough to communicate properly.

(Inge getting screwed rather hard)

Tapes with the first house anthems back in 1991, brought by my elder brother from Rotterdam. From my other brother, I taped Genesis - Invisible Touch (still one of the best albums ever made).

First cd probably was, er, cheesy house Smile

You definately need to get some sleep. I'm also still working, but since it is for school that's not such a problem (gonna sleep tight in 10 minutes though Smile ).

As for my work, I'm in the music section to be found.

I start to think that all forums in the world, no matter what subject they are based on, are the same. Seems like sex is the common factor in everyone's life afterall... Tongue

Most scary thing once was that a girl on top of me rocked so hard that the bed was doing a 180 bpm hardcore underground gabber beat that disrupted the entire flat she lived in. Made me rather embarrased the next day, walking out of the flat, with everyone looking and knowing who emulated that 909 with too much distortion...
