wow i'm really really feeling this one mate!
my only problem is:
-lack of cool intro
-reece is too crunchy, you should replace it for some weirdass sound wich you get to repeat once in 4 measures.

besides that maybe some more variation, but i REALLY REALLY dig this, me too into icicle, lomax that kinda shit. been tryin to make that too recently Big Grin

Finish this man! love to hear!

Good luck

i do think your attitude is pretty bad, still though i think i should be helpfull and revieuw it, here we go:

Drums in the beginning are pretty tight, just sound a little bit like you sampled them from another track, maybe little less decay on the kick and snare! [ghostsnares are really tight though!]
introdrums could use lot more variation or an atmospheric sound underneat. probably a low cut which you slowly release during the intro will be cool, like you did in 2nd breakdown.
Breakdown: melody starts in REALLY nice, gives me an optimistic feeling. but then the subs come in and it really screws it all up, doesnt fit the melody at all man! work on that!
Overall very nice ideas in the track, some things just not worked out that well.

good luck on this one, would love to hear it fixed!

wow this is really cool melody man, just think its pretty weird for in a drum 'n bass track...maybe if you'd use some cooler synths it'll work, try that out.
beats are nice, reece could be more agressive.
the 2 step beat you add at 1:30 should be removed, doesnt add anything imo.
reece melody is cool.
cool ideas, try workin on your techniques some more, definetly something cool will roll out.
rinse it out propa!

This shit sounds cool,
lovely beat nicely crafted. Cool atmosphere, maybe could use some more atmosphere in the beginning.
hardcore kicks are bit overdone imo, dont like it in liquid tracks.
Reecing sneaky undercover is nice, volume is just right. Maybe more synths after the drop for more flow.
Nice track man, well done!

Hi guys,

here's the fixed brainworm!
thanks for all the comments on my track, have been very helpful for finishin this piece!
couple of things i've changed conform your comments:
-Bass volume turned up
-Bass added to bassline
-Contrast between breakdown and drop slightly reduced. want to keep it this way cos i like it. hopefully you do tooTongue
-More variation added
-Click removed at 3.45, thanks halph prince!
-Breaks and hardcore kick had lot too much contrast and a too sick snare, i've fixed that too.

Well, this is the finished track so hope you guys enjoy, remember you can always get it on 320/wav (Luukbos89@gmail.com)

Thanks again,

Hiya folks,
I've been spending a LOT of time lately on producing, making both easy listening A.Perez tracks, as well as some SERIOUS hard stuff like this one. Some new techniques i've learned that i used making this, some new samples and some shiny 'n fresh inspiration from the parties i went to.
Can't wait to hear what u guys think 'bout it.

It's possible to get this one on 320 or even .wav if you'd like to, just mail me on:

Please check out my new track 'The will of nature' and post your comments here!!!

Hey guys

Haven't uploaded anything for a long time though i have been quite busy producing some tracks.

this one is my latest "The Will of Nature", thought it fitted to the vocal Smile
Vocal sample is downloaded here in the samples section.

I'm dealing with some serious distortion here cause most of my sounds are way too loud, but i cant get the volume down and keep the good sound, so thats a negative. hope you like it though, at least i do, and the dancefloor did xD

for this track i used ableton and reason in combination. (ableton for the compilation, reason for neuro-ing the reece)

Love to hear what u think 'bout it

hmm, this is really weird,

really like the tune at one side but my conscience tells me not to.

good sides of your track: the beat is cool, espescially the snare, and the break at 2:15 are cool. effects over the reece are quite nice.

somehow there's an undeniable bad side to this track. the beat is empty, and the melody of your synth becomes really boring after some time.

this means you do really have a good basis to stand on, but it needs work, in my opinion.

Keep 'm rollin' mate

intro sounds good, maybe more atmospheric sounds to support your beats, which will automatically lead to your beat being more intresting.

i hear your second stringy thing come in,nice sound but could maybe be little bit saturated, doesnt fit the beat this way.

drop. - sounds pretty cool all together, though you should try to add some more layers onto it, its a bit empty at the start.

beat - try working with ghostsnares and more different hihats to make it more interresting. beat kick and snare are okay, maybe little bit more punch to the snare.

i love the sound thats starts at 3:20 orso, you should add that in the first breakdown too maybe.

some more effects would be nice too

well overall i liked listening to this track somehow, don't know what it does but its pretty cool espescially after second breakdown.
Keep it up! [love to have a full version of this, could you mail it to me maybe?, or add me on MSN luuk_Bos89@hotmail.com

Well i'm lookin at something that has got two sides, just like a medaillon:

1: The mastering, eq, frequency and such things are REALLy nicely done. everything just fits and has its own place in the track

2: i dont like this genre of dnb that much, i'd advise you to get 2 snares in a [whats it called? a "maat" in dutch, lol]
if you'd do that, the beat will be more rolling. by the way , what software are you using? if you use ableton, maybe i can try to remix some shizzle in the way i like it, cause i like the sounds, only not the beat.

Well, hopefully this is usefull for ya,

Hi guys,

New track by me, long time since the last one because i've been using a lot of time to get used to ableton and dumping reason in the trashbin.
Not really a track you'd expect from my side, the dark side, but i think it works out pretty well and i see it as my best track yet.

Would love to know what u guys think about it.

This is a really nice atmo you're creating here.
I'm just really tellin you that there is no real bassdrum, what comes as a bassdrum in your track sounds to me more like a downpitched shorter-lenghted snaredrum ; it doesnt carry any low frequency, at least, on headphones it doesnt.

one other thing i didnt like was the beat, when it comes in, it doesnt really seem to fit the melody, know what i mean? maybe try to shove the melody up a little bit so it fits a little better, it'll probably a little smoother afterwards.

After all i think i want to hear some more variation in the track and a more exciting intro.

You have definetly set up a tight preparation for the track but some work still needs to be fixed.

Cheers, keep it up,

nice track i'm feelin this shizzle.

intro begins great, maybe a bit too lineair imo. try using the cymbals not at exactly the same point every time, just get some variation in that.

i dig the beat, great mastering.

cool sounds 'n stuff.

its not totally my style though i enjoyed listening to it,

keep on diggin'those beats,

awfully recognisable beat! isnt it a gridlok beat? two step or something like that i remember.
maybe layer it with some other beat would be nice if u dont want to just copy a whole beat. i dont like copied beats, but thats my opinion

well the track is just totally unfinished and i think that youre the one thats got to get some inspiration for it, so get yourself some more ideas and work it out a little more. i'll be glad to hear it when you worked it out better.

Really lovely track, once the intro is over. the intro is kinda bad imo. the snaredrum is really weak and the kick could do well on having some extra punch in it.
the breakdown is pretty cool but some atmos could be added.
the melodie sound is really really lovely, but the melody itself could me a little more interresting.

once it drops, the sub is cool but could growl a little more, maybe some distortion or layering will work out.

the beat-eq-in needs to be overdone WAY too much high pass and the kick is again too weak.

maybe its cool to add a phat reece underneath it. i got some reeces on stock on my PC, you could mail me for 'm [luuk_bos89@hotmail.com]

now id like to ask you something: how did you make the beat? i've been interrested on these kind of beats for a pretty long time now, and still havent figured how to make them.

thank you guys,

i've redone the sub, layered a raiden-like snare under my beat and i sorted out the drop, so if its finished, a full version low res will be listenable, and the high res will be downloadable from me, laterzz

Please check out my new track 'No name yet' and post your comments here!!!

Hi, this is a track which has been on my harddisk for like over half a year. one and a half month ago i decided shoving my loop over it and see what we could do with this. I found the melody really soulfull so i reeced it up. i remixed the beat, remastered the whole thing, and put a new melody over the bassline.

now i'd like to know if anyone here has some tips for me on this track, so, please go ahead!

Thanks in advance,

D Juice drum 'n bass
