Ableton Live 4 users?

Is anybody is using ableton live 4???
I can't find a single word about this great app in the forums.
For me it's the best and it's quite cheap.

I've experimented a little with v3, but not enough to say anything usefull about it. From what I know it is mainly used for live performances, not as much as a production tool.

i just got it, Don't know yet how to use it, I'll find it out soon...( i hope)

have version 3 lying around here
will check it one of these days (but it's not on top of the list so it could take a while)

good software, but the preset plug ins suck in terms of audio quality, and a lot of vst fx dont fully work because their interface is changed, cubase is much better, abletons good for live performance though if your willing to take the risk of a crashing computer halfway through a set.

Indeed, it's a shame that not all vst's work properly. But if you convert them to Audio Units (mac OSX ) they will!!!
By the way: I never use ableton for live performance (c's of a possible crash). I just use the timeline enviroment and for me it's much more practical than cubase or even logic, especially the ez timestreching.

I know Q-Bit uses it for his livesets...

i use it and its got is + & - sides:

+: warping , beatmatching ,...

-: vst's , volume knobs , mixing

ableton is really usefull for live sessions, coupled with Cubase SX it's really banging, remember also that in the 5th version you can make some rewires, with reason, fruity loops, acid pro, cubase...most of them accept rewire sessions so you can combianed both specifications and try to have a correct sound, like rewiring in cubase and burn audio to a cubase part......

Great things will happen with the 6th version, video in mov format accepted, the freezing possibilities like in Cubase for those who knows this one it's a must have feature, and also all the great patches made by famous and talented artists for the synth included in this software (richard devine for example and rob papen's banks)

defenatly ableton start to have a great range of features and caacities in both live and sequencer editions.....

Yeah I've been using ableton 4 for laptop sets for around 2 years on and off. Wicked piece of software - shame not enough dnb producers use it, that way they could help me out cos I'm still shit
